SOUP

These were infront of a restaurant and I noticed the steam coming off them as I approached.  When I mentioned them to others later in the day they suggested that they probably contained soup as it is often served at all meal times. I thought that it could also be the base stock for the meals as that would be a lot of soup. The bottom section was the fire box and had a small door for adding fuel. The grate appears to be for any overflow.
