Holy smokes! (pun intended smile)
I thought such things have been extinct from the face of the earth (or should I say, the face of the sea) back in fifties.
The bird adds a nice touch. You got very lucky here, Aussie. smile

This is fabulous, just fabulous, it is almost like traveling into the unknown....
the bird is a treat with it.
This is stunning Aussie. It could have been shot in the first part of the 20th century!
I like this one : the seagull behind the boat… And the framing is nice, too.

A simple shot but so effective. The seagull really adds to the appeal of this. Is this a recent shot, Aussie.. it has an old feel to this.

Wonderful Aussie, the black and White works a treat
This reminds me of the Louisa in the African Queen. I can just see Bogart and Hepburn drifting out to sink her!!
Dirty Australian coaster with a soot-smoked stack. Absolutely fabulous Aussie. richard
I like this very much Aussie: the smoky old boat heading to an obscured destination. Lovely lighting here
never thought pollution could look so good but its sure added so much to this glorious capture Aussie, superb stuffsmile
An unusual sight, I think but you've captured it for us all. Thanks.
Steaming off into the distance, just like the end of a romantic film Aussie. The seagull is great as well.

Powerful shot!

The black smoke panache makes the shot.

I can't tell you how many times I have thought of you in the last month or so, Aussie. So glad to see you're back (well, maybe not yet on SC?????). I hope you're off to a good start in 2009. Happy New Year!

I love the bird in this image...as though it is saying, "Do NOT leave me behind," or maybe better, he's making sure the ship DOES sail off into the wild blue yonder, pollution or no pollution.
So much emotion and mood embedded in this image! Wow!

I really love this photograph. Simple and effective!
love LOVE love this....so simple....but says so much ...great image.
Lovely photo of the old ship, I like the flying bird just following it.
Very nice image!
