For some reason I like pelicans, maybe because we can only spot them in the ZOO.

They certainly are, especially in black and white
They are indeed Aussie. Slightly comical birds but fascinating
In Canberra you can see them in the wild - in a sense. The many square kilometer nature park is just a real part of the outdoors with a fence around it. Birds can fly in or out. They have blinds built around the ponds and waterways so they can be seen and photographed. I loved the pelicans there. There were at least two kinds for sure but maybe three?

I like the b&w choice - it highlights them in a infra red sort of way.
