Peoples Park Strahan Tasmania

The water is brown in most places in Tasmania. It is caused by the tanines in the soil however, when the sky is blue and the suns out you get the most beautiful reflections (so they tell me)

The peoples park is a real surprise. When you arrive all you see is the typical park scene lawn, trees and flowers. Then at the very end of it there is the start of a beautiful rain forest bush walk (where the mosquito's are as big as birds) that leads you to this water fall.

Mozzies as big as birds - they could bite your head off Aussie!

Nice waterfall
Don't like the sound of the mosquitoes! wonderful to have a park like this though. Here if the water is brown it is usually due to iron as far as I know
That is a place I missed in Tasmania but I would have loved it. The photo is gorgeous.

Looks like a corner of calmness.

In our southern Cape, there are some rivers that pick up stuff from plant roots. Almost herbal like and it is a tea brown. Drinking the water will make you regular, as they say.
What a lovely place. Superb composition Aussie!
Nicely captured - I love your shutter speed on the water!
