Bicheno Tasmania East coast

Sits just under the area that is known as the Bay of Fires. Think the colour of the rocks might have something to do with it. The locals say the colour came about because of volcano activity many thousands of years ago.

Excellent find & capture! If I was there I'd probably go jumping from rock to rock! wink
Beautiful landscape - those rocks are most unusual looking, with the orangy colore!

Makes sense to me, Aussie, though I could be convinced some kids played a prank with their spray cans of paint.

I have seen ancient building stone coloured red from fires from years ago, so this sounds likely

I have a feeling that when you have late afternoon light on these rocks, they may light up gloriously.
I was at this spot and have prints of it with our tour group laying about on the rocks. Your Taz tour is bringing back some great memories.

It's incredible to think of the forces of nature that caused these fantastic colours.
