Flood

Buy a house here and the agent will tell you, this area only floods once every 50 years. Won't mention that the 50 year flood has happened 4 times in the past 5 years. My house is always high and dry, never been flooded.

Must be that thing that isn't happening Aussie - climate change!
Aussie: That's it. Not really typical council that allow people to build on a known flood plain. It was many years ago, however it does still happen in some areas.

Why is it that people spend their money to buy in earthquake, flood and volcanic areas? Is it a firm belief that what will happen, will not happen?
Stunning photo, Aussie, with the reflected houses and lights. I wish I could say I didn't get flooded. I live in a deep hollow.
I suppose it's no consolation to see how picturesque it looks. Great shot Aussie

A great reflection in the floodwater Aussie.
A pity for the owners but this makes a wonderful reflections shot Aussie!
I like this image - the colors of the buildings and the reflections are very nice
Our relatives in Brisbane sent us a book published after the floods there about two or so years ago, fortunately they are fairly high up and out of trouble from floods.
