Dang! Did someone forget to tell 'em you were coming, Aussie?
Aussie: I sent a letter telling them to make sure it was at it's best guess they went to too much trouble then got the dates mixed up.

Who pulled the plug of that pool....
That must have been some disappointment.
Sometimes we loose, sometimes we win, too bad you traveled from so far...
I hope you liked the rest.
Aussie: I did get a nice shot of it reflected in one of the lakes. It is so big you can see it from every point around the city.

I bet you could clone it in later, Aussie, but for now, this is perfect. How many visitors to Washington, D.C., have seen the pool look like THIS??? You must be special. smile
Aussie: This was taken during the worst time of the day. The plan was to come back at early evening and get that magic shot, but I guess everyone has that shot, lol
4. Fake it in photoshop?

Still in years to come people won't be able to take this shot I guess

Assignment two thirds completed. Oh, you should have been there when we demonstrated on those steps and took a dip in the pool. Etcetera.
That is how things go. I have missed a couple of 'see-worthies' due to maintenance work.
What a shame, it's a bit like our cathedrals, they always seem to have scaffolding up them whenever I want to take a picture.
A case of bad timing? lol! Still, a reminder to us all about today.
I guess that you got there on a cloudy day Aussie....i am sure that you will never find a great photo like this of the Washington Monumentin any magazine or on the USA Capital tourist information guidessmile
