Aussie: Went back to this spot yesterday and the water is going at an incredible speed now. I has never seen anything like it before. It's a bit surreal though because this has not come anywhere near my place
I understand the water is still rising in Rockhampton. Floods are very frightening

Daily I read the news about the floods in Queensland -and I must think of all the SC's living there (Vintage, zed, Aussie...), I'm glad that the water has not come near your home, but you are witness of that (see the photo) -and we all are feeling with you - the many nature catastrophes last and this year are terrible, and we have to think about what might have caused this development and how we could help...

I'm so glad to hear your house has not been affected. Usually it is fire we are hearing about from AU at this time of year.

It's a good job that bridge looks strong Aussie. I hope that life can return to normal as quickly as possible for those poor people in Queensland.
It makes for a powerful picture Aussie but must be frightening. I emailed my relatives in Brisbane but they say it is o.k.there so I guess Adrian and Tony, and their families, must besafely in the dry.

We are experiencing more rain at a steady rate. If it continues, our flooding will start again eventually.
Good thing they build bridges so strong nowadays.
How impressive Aussie! I follow up every day what'ts happening at yours.
I hope it will reccede soonest.
awesome perspective. nice one!
Truly frightening this amount of water, we all feel concern for those affected.
Whew, thank goodness it didn't top the bridge. Be safe.
