He just wanted his photo taken. Thought maybe a tighter crop might have looked better.

This is ridiculously spectacular! I'm insanely jealous not to be there in the flesh when this magnificent bird flies by.

A stunning and beautiful photograph, Aussie, you've captured the splendour and motion of flight so perfectly smile
Very well panned, you caught him so sharp. The contrast in colours ot the lilies helps too, really good.

Man alive this is awesome Aussiesmile
Like it as it is Aussie. He's got room to fly into. Lovely picture
Well caught Paul, panning at its best. If you wanted to crop this I would go half down the water above the bird, but that's just my opinion.
I've done it again Aussie and called you by someone else's name. I'm trying to catch up with my comments and have got names coming out of my head. Sorry.
You're doing a great job with these shots, Aussie.

This is excellent - I stand in awe.

If you seriously want to crop - the from the top until you have lost all the bushes.

This works just as it, is Aussie. It puts the bird in the context of his environment.

To have the pelican 'frozen' in the air and the blurred back ground, wonderful!!!

No, I don't think a tighter crop would have been better, this gives the bird space to fly into. It's also remarkably sharp, the movement in the background shows how well you controlled the panning.
Stunning capture, Aussie. I practiced `panning` the other day, and just could not get it right. The detail in the bird is fabulous! (:o)
Aussie: I found that once I realised that I had more time (overcame panic mode) to re focus as I went the shots improved.
