ABOUT TURN

My high hopes of spending 12 months working and travelling in the UK were dashed from day one. The job and conditions were just not as stated at interview and I found the revised version totally unacceptable. As a result I will be heading home at the end of this week.

Spent a few days in East Anglia with friends and took this in Peterborough.

I am currently in Amsterdam and hope to catch up with Ginnie before I leave.

What a bummer on the job front!
I am very sorry that you have been let down, Aussie.
Firstly, beautiful capture. I love it when swans do this with their wings!

Aussie: Thank you Brian. I spent a lovely 9 months working in the UK in 2005/2006 so it was a bit disappointing, but thats how things turn out sometimes.
I hope all goes well back home Aussie, so sorry you've been disappointed. Beautiful image.

What a let down - and cost. It was quite the thing starting in the 1990's for young saffies to do a working year in the UK. Many a great story and many a horror story. Some came back within weeks and others are still there. All I know from that is that you have to be careful or you may get some wool over the eyes.

What can I say - it happened to you and it can't be nice at all. At least you have a holiday and the lorikeets and other -keets will be waiting for you.
