OMG, Aussie. This is fabulous because of the "skipped stone" effect in the water. It's MORE than decent!!
Aussie: Glad you like it Ginnie.
Like very much the blur and the choice of B&W - Bravo !
Aussie: Thank you Zeb for the comments
Very nice B&W picture. I like the taking off marks on the water
Aussie: It needed the B&W to bring the take off marks out. Very washed out in colour.

Let's follow them !!! That's what this photo inspires me ... The B&W is a real success in this photo ... I like the feeling it gives me ... freedom !!! Ann
Aussie: Thank you for your kind comments Ann.
I keep going for this kind of shot, if I were you. It is fabulous! Such a strong sense of movement and it shows the effort required to get airborn. Great photograph. (:o)
Aussie: Ducks are at such a disadvantage, they have heavy bodies and they have to take off from water, so I guess it is hard work for them.

Great blurry with an excellent composition.

I have many times tried the 'running-on-water' with coots and ducks. No luck yet.
Aussie: I think what you call coots we call moorhens. I'll make sure I don't mention that I also got a pic of them running on water, on the same day. oops did I type that in.
Thank you Louis for your kind comment.
Keep trying for the shot you want yes, but don't stop shooting these wonderful images as well. Coots have a white bill while Moorhens have a red bill. Have fun out there Aussie.
Aussie: Thank you for the visit and comments. And yes you are right, the coot is also slightly smaller according to my trusty bird book.

I like this.

I like the way you're focusing at the front of the picture, getting the droplets of water and I like the silhouettes vanishing into the distance, and also the action.

dunno mate...this is outstanding and probably better than if they where in focus. Far more "art like"! wicked shot!
Aussie: Thank you Liam for your kind comment I love taking pics of birds and seeing others pics of them.
