This photo is sort of an optical illusion for me. I can't figure out if it's on water or just floating in the sky. I think the illusion is awesome!
Aussie: I liked the optical effect, but was unsure what others would think of it.

Man! Helen is so right about this illusion, Aussie. It does indeed look like it's floating in the heavens somewhere. A pontoon space station!
Aussie: It was an amazing sky, considering it was 06.15 and on my way to work.

I agree with everyone else Aussie it had me baffled for a short time.
It's really difficult to see where sky and water meet. I love the little bird - he looks as though he's about to dive off into the water.
Ingrid
Aussie: He did go into the water.
Great shot Aussie. The angle and the reflection on the water are so brilliant that it seems floating in the sky. Luckily the chain is there to remind us that it is on the water. Well done
Aussie: Thank you Richard. The chain was what caught my eye and was looking at just a pic of it, but it didn't work.
Very effective, a good reflection shot with enough confusion to make you look again. Well seen.
A magnificent effect. A game of blue precious. It is as if the element was suspended in the air. And there the bird! Accidental subject of this pretty photo!

I like this. It takes a moment to figure out how the shot works.

Surreal. If not for the chain, you'd trick me for the floating in the air thing. Too bad the chick is obscured by railing. Should've waited for a minute for it to come up the the edge.

Aussie: I did wait for the bird, but he hopped off into the water. Have a nice reflective shot of him.

This is one heck of a reflection shot. It is hard to tell where reality ends and the reflection begins. Very very well done!
Aussie: Thank you Kathryn.
WOW is all I can say. Have to go to this park
